Why ? why ? why ?

This article posted to find out my readers opinion about my previous articles . If you are my loyal readers/visitors you may read my articles which i posted since i opened this blog . Some are cut and paste from other sources and some others are written by my own . The most hard worked articles are my CRAB STORIES : I Also Wanna Be A Leader , Majority Indian Students In School. Each of them took very long time to be prepared .

But i don't know why my hard worked articles getting very poor feedback and support . Is that because the articles are too lengthy ? not interesting? very sensitive ? bad command of language ? Less promotion by the owner of the blog about the article ? the layout of the article is lame ? or because the articles produced by just a blogspot blogger and not a .com blogger?

Why ? Why ? Why?

I keep this article short so my readers can finish read this article fast and provide some advise and guidance . Just a SURVEY by Townguy(author of this blog)

I think it bcoz the article is too lengthy... so much of words... I dunno about others but for myself i prefer precised short articles... I normally have no interest in reading long articles...

Your whole article should reflect what you're trying to convey in a more funnier and leaner method. There is no reason why you can't write your article longer, ecspecially longer article will actually keep your visitors stay in your site longer.

It's not all about the articles, it's also about the originality of the idea. Think of something new, write something out of the ordinary, improve your grammar, learn new words, talk funnier, keep visitors with informative facts ,etc.

All this will definetely bring visitors to yours. Every blogger spend a long time typing their articles, not only you so throw out the mentality that only you're spending a long time writing your article .

Promotion is not needed if you follow all the above rules, gradually you'll have your own set of avid readers.

Do not worry about the .blogspot.com / There is no such thing, it's all about the content,Remember.

Do not get frustrated, you're losing your will too early.

Good luck blogging my brother.Hope the above helps.

Hey there,

Durai has summed up pretty much what I wanted to say.

First of all, blogging is not about others, its about you! Blogging is not about expecting others to come and read, but it is more about expressing your thoughts. Remember blogging is an online diary, not a website!

Secondly, its not about the length. If your posts are interesting enough, then the reader will not mind reading till the end. If you do expect your post to be longer than usual, try to break them smaller parts and post on different dates. There are also people who leave half way of a short article, simple because they are not interesting.

Domain, template.. is not even an issue. Like Durai said, its about the content.

Don't go around leaving links in people's blogs. Everyone hates that. Unless its a super breaking news, then yes. I hardly click on links on my shoutbox, so yea.

The initial period is very difficult and can be depressing, and I am telling you this because I am myself new to blogging.

But I will tell you what helps.

1) Write your own article, don't copy and paste. Express yourself, bluntly or not! Remember its about you!!

2) Leave plenty of comments on other blogs. Comments are like previews to your posts. People reading your comments will have an idea about you and your thoughts. And if they want to know more about you, they will come to your blog to read your posts.

3) Finally, you have to realise that blogging is about you, and I can't stress this enough. I used to think otherwise you know, and I used to have all the widgets to analyse traffic etc, but in the end I realised analysing traffic is pointless. Just be patient, write original posts, and you will soon have a set of loyal readers!

Good luck.
